5 ways to make Customers Fall in Love with your Brand
Brilliant branding can have a direct impact on your revenue. With so much branding advice out there, here are a few simple rules to allow your brand to speak directly to your target audience...
The most engaging, attractive and lovable brands are authentic. When you allow your customers to know who you truly are, what your business stands for and why you do what you do, it can create a sense of creditability and trustworthiness. Consistently sharing valuable information and engaging with your audience in an honest and genuine way will allow them to get to know you on a deeper level. Personally, I stay on someone's website when I see that their branding fully encompasses who they are - because I want to know more!
Don’t make them work for it
People do not have time to guess what you do. On all the social media platforms you use, clearly state exactly who you are and what you do, it should also be on the very first page of your website. This sounds obvious but I see plenty of businesses who have a logo, website and Facebook page and it can still take a while before I figure out EXACTLY what they do. Great branding will make this clear from the offset.
Only communicate to your target audience
If you are communicating to everyone, your branding will not be specific and can possibly appear generic. If you know your target audience is 25-45 year old mothers who run their own business (yes, you have to be that specific), they won’t feel understood or cared for on a masculine/corporate website. 70% of buying experiences are based on how the customer feels they are being treated, if they feel welcomed and appreciated you are a lot more likely to turn them into a paying customer.
Visually, be brave
Beautiful branding is something I live for, I look at it constantly. Pinterest and Behance have pages upon pages of amazing branding (take a look for some inspiration!). I know that if you have started a business, your heart and soul has went into it, be brave with your branding and stand out from your competition.

Invest in your content
Your content is a major part of your branding. This is where you speak directly to your target audience, whether it be on your website or social media. Investing in your content sets up your tone of voice (and makes it a lot easier to get your visual branding perfect). If you have trouble writing down what you offer without it sounding like a sales pitch or feel you have no idea how to write a few paragraphs on yourself and your business that will make an impact - don’t let your business down by DIY’ing it. Having someone else write your business content can also have an amazing effect on how you feel about your business and can make you a lot more confident in driving traffic to your site. However, if you feel confident in doing it yourself - go for it! Get a few people (preferably those in your target audience, not your granny) to read over it and remember, as your business grows/changes you can always adjust your content, it's not permanent. Revisit and revise your content every few months to keep it up to date.
